The Taxi Data System is a complete solution from booking
and dispatch through to accounts and management, using
proven computer technology to improve every aspect of
the taxi operator's business.
Each operator enters bookings into identical PCs, each
storing the same entire booking database on their individual
hard discs. Should one station fail, the others continue
to share the load with no loss of booking information.
One of these PCs is designated the
management screen and is controlled by the dispatcher.
A software password allows the dispatcher to over-ride
and control the other operators.
A central data transmitter relays all
the data for every job in milliseconds via a radio link
to the driver's on-board data terminal using the real-time
GPS information provided by the mobile.
Every user shares the same code. By allowing free access
to the system 'flags' each user is able to customise
the program to suit their individual needs whether this
be growth or change.
It removes the need for voice over radio so that customers
can relax in quiet surroundings and render work for
drivers more efficient as there is less travelling between
jobs.
